Austenitic tubes, usually made from stainless steel, are easily shaped and highly corrosion-proof. They can also easily be welded and are fire-proof. These tubes are therefore well suited for numerous applications, such as in the food sector, for power plant construction and handicraft.

Various test systems can be used for testing these tubes:

DEFECTOMAT: The DEFECTOMAT product family is used for testing austenitic tubes for point and transverse defects in the surface of the test material and for analyzing the results.

CIRCOGRAPH: The CIRCOGRAPH test system work with rotating test heads and scan the material surface in a helical path. This makes it possible to reliably test the material for longitudinal defects.
