Copper wire
Copper wire has high electrical conductivity, can be easily tin plated, and easily formed, which makes it a popular material. It is used in the automotive and computer sectors as well as in industrial electronics and household appliances.
The FOERSTER test systems facilitate precision testing of the wire for surface defects using eddy current technology:
DEFECTOMAT: The DEFECTOMAT product family is used for testing copper wire for point and transverse defects in the material. The optional Ferromat channel also detects FE impurities in copper wire.
DEFECTOMINI and fine wire coil: FOERSTER has developed the DEFECTOMINI sensors and fine wire coils for particularly intricate test tasks. They can be used for reliably testing copper wire with diameters as small as 0.1 mm.
CIRCOGRAPH: The CIRCOGRAPH test systems with rotating test heads reliably detect longitudinal defects in the material.
