Black FE bars are ferromagnetic metal bars which are hot-rolled and are therefore scaled, in other words black on the surface. Such uneven surface requires testing using the AC flux leakage method as normal eddy current testing would create too many disturbance signal and therefore pseudo defects. FOERSTER has developed the CIRCOFLUX test system for this purpose.

BARPROOF: Using phased-array ultrasonic technology and coupling via a rotating water jacket, the BARPROOF reliably detects longitudinal surface defects and internal defects on bars with bright and hot-rolled surfaces.

CIRCOFLUX: The CIRCOFLUX test system can be used for reliably detecting longitudinal defects in the material surface with the help of probes.

MAGNATEST D-HZP: The MAGNATEST D-HZP test system was specially designed for heat treatment checking and for material identification checking in semi-finished products using magnetic-inductive technology.
