The first interactive eddy current webinar at FOERSTER on December 8 and 12 was well attended
The cancellation of the wire show 2020 in Düsseldorf due to the corona pandemic has forced us at FOERSTER to find new ways to present our latest developments and proven products to our customers. Thus, we launched our first interactive eddy current webinar - and met with a great and extremely positive response. On December 8 and 10, more than 180 customers were online with us and followed various presentations and, above all, the live workshops in our application laboratory, all of it "Corona-compliant" at their own screens.
After the welcome round live from our newly created film studio, Ulrich Brändle, Product Manager Eddy Current, explained the basics of the process and the advantages of the new DA technology for the DEFECTOMAT instruments. In particular, he discussed distance compensation with the associated DEFECTOARRAY sensors. The second part was all about the new CIRCOGRAPH DA and its advantages.
Following the theory, a practical workshop was held to get to grips with the equipment. Ulrich Brändle and Christian Huonker, Application Specialist, impressively demonstrated the advantages of the distance compensation of the DEFECTOMAT DA when using a DEFECTOARRAY sensor compared to conventional encircling coils, in this case working with an austenitic test tube.
The fact that FOERSTER also takes care of its customers' concerns before and after equipment acquisition was demonstrated by Thomas Hahn, Head of Business Solutions, with an overview of FOERSTER's new services ranging from the Life Cycle Contract to service and maintenance contracts all the way up to financial services.
After the second live workshop - this time with the CIRCOGRAPH DA for visualization of longitudinal defects in 3D - Thomas Hahn presented the current offers for FOERSTER 0% financing and 0% leasing.
Finally, both Thomas Hahn and Ulrich Brändle met with Dr. Rainer Sailer, Head of Sales, for a concluding round of discussions, in which many of the customer questions asked during the webinar were answered.
All in all, these four successful webinars convinced both us and our customers that this form of communication is a good substitute for the trade show. We are very pleased with the positive feedback and are happy to take on board our customers' suggestions for further webinar topics. Look forward to more news on this from FOERSTER!
